A Whim about us

Hello our names are Coleen & Pat Russo and our business literally started on a Whim. Here's how the story goes:
It was a cold, blistery day in winter when Colin, Coleen's Dad, & I got a craving for some grilled beef. We attempted to use our gas grill we had at the time but it had seen better days. The wives Coleen & Judy, thought we were typical Men when we are lost, never stop and ask for directions solve it yourself. So we did the only logical thing we went to the basement and decided to lug the 100+lb Franklin/Scandia wood burning stove we had in the basement, that we should have been using for heating but we never installed, up the steps to the outside area which was covered with snow.
 We got a wood fire going and we had incredible beef sandwich's. Once the wives tasted our creation they let us back in the house. We talked of one day selling the sandwich's and making a business of it. Needless to say the idea sat on the back burner until the fall of 2004. We opened with outdoor seating only just in time for winter. However for some reason the public did not appreciate sitting in a cold tent and eating beef sandwich's. You know how people are!! 
We decided to keep the business seasonal from Spring to early Fall. Things caught on and we decided to go year round by moving into the building next to us in October 2007.  Now we had an actual indoor restaurant with heat and a roof, what a concept. We kept the outdoor seating for the warmer months. We still grill and smoke over hardwoods only.
Though we have been in business here for 7+ years now we are not new to the biz. Our experience runs thru generations of Family, even back to the Old Country. We both have a lot of experience in everything from Fine Dining to Franchise to of course what we are doing now. So we definately have some range for your dining & catering needs. Everything from Pulled Pork and Cabbage Salad to an elegant 5 course menu.
Trust us when we say once you have tried us you will be wondering why you haven't been eating Salt Potatoes covered in Brown Butter your whole life.
